A wallet is located at the front of the library which is used for your Veg growing Calendar. It can be removed and used separately. Equally, the vegetable illustrations can be removed and laid out separately on any flat surface.
There are 2 principle ways to use a SeeHow book.
Using the empty wallets at the front you can fill them from the vegetable illustrations and slide these into position in your growing Calendar to create a single image of the vegetable combinations over a whole year. The selected vegetables can be interchanged as desired from the library to achieve your growing cycle for the right time in the year. Used in this way, SeeHow can be easily carried into the garden and used in real-time to aid in planting your vegetable selection.
Simply remove the selected vegetable illustrations from the library and lay these out on any convenient flat surface. In this way you can explore what you want to grow.
SeeHow Veg Technical Information - For all veg there is a sowing / planting period noted on the reverse of each illustration. This period can last several months or more. This means that the veg can be sown at anytime during this period. The typical number of weeks from sowing to harvesting is also given. Many veg, such as lettuces, carrots and radishes, as examples, crop quickly and can be planted repeatedly during the sowing period – say every 4 weeks. This will ensure a fresh supply throughout the whole harvesting period.
